Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Doug Earl comes from a lineage of lawyers, being a third-generation attorney. He served a mission in Sendai, Japan, where he became proficient in Japanese. He has been happily married to Heidi Brunson Earl for 27 years, and they have four wonderful children: Bradley, Melissa, Katelyn, and Juliana. Doug pursued his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and earned his J.D. cum laude from UNLV Boyd School of Law in 2001, where he was also a member of the Law Review. Although he has held a Nevada law license, it has been inactive since 2004.

In his free time, Doug is an enthusiastic bassist, performing with multiple bands in Southern Utah, including John Miner & Friends, Kimmee B & 3D Band, and Sunday Best. He is also an avid tennis player, having won a bronze medal in doubles at the Senior Games for the 50-55 age group in 2022. Additionally, he is a self-taught car mechanic, an avid DIY enthusiast specializing in finish carpentry, and enjoys building and installing home theaters.

Doug's professional journey began as a law clerk at Mainor & Harris Injury from 1999 to 2001, followed by positions as an attorney at Marquis & Aurbach (2001-2002) and Mills & Mills (2002-2004). He then transitioned to ERA Brokers, where he worked from 2004 to 2012, and has been with Robert J. Debry & Associates from 2012 to 2024.
